New/Replacement Tyres |
The requirements in the UK are that the grooves of the tread pattern of every tyre fitted to a vehicle shall be of a depth of at least 1.6mm throughout a continuous band comprising the central three-quarters of the breadth of tread and round the entire outer circumference of the tyre. It is not advisable to run the depth of the tyre right down to the legal limit as this will have a negative effect on the car’s handling, ability to grip the road and stopping capability. Ideally a tyre should wherever possible be removed at 3mm. |

MOT Testing |
MOT testing is a legal requirement for all cars and vehicles over 3 years old, with the purpose of making sure that your car meets the minimum safety requirements. Without a valid MOT, your car insurance and road tax become invalidated and your car may not be road worthy. Therefore it’s important that you make sure your MOT certificate is in date and you book your next MOT before your current certificate expires. You can do this up to one month before the end of your current MOT certificate. At Link tyres we can provide the full service for MOT for both class 4 and class 7 vehicles all backed by our up to date workshop equipment should you need any work on you car to pass the test. |
